Wonpil said, “When we created this album, the biggest thing on our minds was what represents us the best, what we are, and how our fans perceive us.” He also added, “We wanted to focus on that perspective.”

The band also shared that they had no specific objective in mind when they wrote Fourever. Instead, the members chose to focus on genres they liked and “go for it,” as they have constantly done.

“We want to make songs and music that people and our fans can come back to,” said Wonpil. “We want to make music that keeps them on their toes and keeps them curious about what we will do next.”

Young K said, “It’s not too different from what we’ve been pursuing.” He also added, “But there are changes and developments from our past music.”

Dowoon, the maknae of the group, also reveals that he was a very emotional person; he has since grown up to be a more rational person. “I learned so much from these three. They once said, ‘Creating music is like putting on clothes,’ and I didn’t know what that meant then, but now I know.

Day6 Fourever Tracklist

  1. Welcome to the Show

A song written by Young K, the song starts with a low voice. As the chorus comes on, it feels like a celebration of the band’s grand comeback. Showcasing the uniqueness of each member’s voice and how beautifully they blend.

  2. HAPPY

In the song titled “Happy”, the melody is upbeat, and yet it has the saddest lyrics. Young K stated that he wrote it with the hopes that listeners would not feel lonely as a result of realizing through the song that they are alone in their struggles and that other people who share similar emotions exist.

  3. The Power of Love

To believe in its power. Nothing is impossible for love since it is a powerful force that capable of overcoming any obstacle. The song feels more like making you feel that everything will be fine, it also has a comforting melody. Everyone needs the power of love.

  4. Get The Hell Out

A song about trying to forget someone from the past. “Get The Hell Out” is a total banger! The instrumentals stand out so much more than the previous songs. The song is made more remarkable by the Dowoon’s drumming. Also, Sungjin’s “How nice this world could be to me” is the most addictive part.

  5. Sad Ending

Young K describes this song with a sense of emotion and is similar to “emo rock.” The song truly emphasizes the mood it creates for its listeners, and the descending guitar riff that kicks in the verse and the chorus melody is extremely satisfying. One of the most heart-wrenching choruses of Day6 is found here.

  6. Let Me Love You

“Let Me Love You” has an OST-like quality and sounds powerful yet gentle, similar to an 80s ballad. The song is amazing during the bridge part and fading-out ending. Another beautiful song written by Young K, and composed by Sungjin, Wonpil, and Hong Jisang.

  7. didn’t know

Such a great song to close the album. “didn’t know” was written from the beginning with the realization that special moments like talking and joking around together, might disappear, so cherish them while they last. It’s a song about regret, not knowing that the other person was also in love with you. The last track that hits the hardest; it’s a perfect example of the Right person, Wrong timing. How can Day6 write something so warm, and yet so tragic?

Every song is a bop, as expected from music geniuses. Day6 never disappoints and once again creates a masterpiece that makes everyone feel every emotion.
