Max Changmin is set to make his debut on the musical stage, taking on the lead role no less!
TVXQ‘s Max Changmin has been announced as part of the cast lineup for the much-anticipated musical “Benjamin Button.”
On March 25, EMK Musical Company revealed the cast members of the 2024 musical “Benjamin Button,” set to open on May 11 at the Sejong M Theater in Seoul. The upcoming masterpiece is based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, which also had a movie titled The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt.

Musical Benjamin Button
Set in the jazz era, Benjamin Button will look at the joy of life, the sadness of loss, and the human life that exists beyond time. Particularly, the titular character ages backwards.
EMK, which has produced well-made musical stages such as “Matahari,” “Excalibur,” “Frida,” and “Beethoven Secret,” is expected to expand the diversity of the Korean musical market by turning the award-winning movie into a musical.
TVXQ Changmin as Benjamin Button
Born in the form of an old man and growing in reverse, Benjamin Button will be played by Shim Changmin, popularly known as TVXQ’s main vocalist, Max Changmin. Musical actors Kim Jae Beom and Kim Sung Sik will also portray the titular role.
