TOMONARI SORA returns to the Assassination Classroom universe with his new theme song “Teacher,” written for Assassination Classroom The Movie: Everyone’s Time.
TOMONARI SORA returns to the world of Assassination Classroom with his new song “Teacher.” The track serves as the official theme for Assassination Classroom The Movie: Everyone’s Time, which will open nationwide on 20 March. With this release, he deepens his connection to the franchise, marking his second consecutive musical contribution to the series.

This time, Sora handled every part of the song’s creation. He wrote, composed, and arranged “Teacher” himself. As a result, the track reflects his distinct artistic voice. The song unfolds as a piano-led ballad told from a teacher’s perspective. Through it, he blends intimate storytelling with carefully shaped melodies, a style that has become his hallmark.
I wrote this song after thoroughly thinking about one of Assassination Classroom’s themes: human growth. At 23, I’m at an age that sits right between student and teacher, so I felt that now I could express both perspectives. I would be happy if listeners could hear it as if they were reading a letter or a diary.
Meanwhile, a nostalgic piano motif anchors the arrangement. The melody carries a quiet tension and emotional warmth. As the song progresses, it captures fleeting memories and fragile feelings. In doing so, “Teacher” mirrors the decade-long journey of Class 3-E. The track heightens the film’s emotional core and leaves a lasting resonance for viewers.

About TOMONARI
TOMONARI SORA has emerged as one of J-pop’s most intriguing new voices. Each release spreads quickly online and draws strong attention. His music blends catchy melodies with humor that carries a slightly eerie bite. At the same time, he leans into a distinctly Japanese aesthetic that sets him apart. In January 2024, his song “Demons Banquet” surpassed 160 million streams, while related social media clips reached more than 1.6 billion views.
Soon after, “Niramekko,” released in May 2024, gained viral momentum. He continued that rise in October 2025 with “咆哮 – HOKO,” the ending theme for the sixth season of the TV anime Kingdom. Then, in November 2025, he released his first full album, 文明開化 – East West.
However, his creative ambitions began much earlier. As a child, Sora dreamed of building his own “nation.” For him, music offered a place where people could escape life’s pressures. Because of that belief, he started teaching himself how to write songs in the fourth grade of elementary school.
Today, he approaches his work as a complete creator. He writes the lyrics, composes the music, and arranges the tracks himself. In addition, he designs his own illustrations and artwork. Through this hands-on process, he shapes a fully realized artistic world around every release.
