South Korean singer-songwriter Summer Soul will play her first-ever show in Malaysia this August.
Summer Soul, a South Korean artist born in Malaysia, returns for her debut performance in her birthplace this August.
Although she’s based in South Korea, she attended the International College of Music in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 2012 to 2017. Her artist name, which alludes to the sunny sunshine of Malaysia, was even inspired by her stay there.
Summer Soul will hold her debut Malaysian show at Live Fact in Petaling Jaya on August 4 at 8 p.m. There will be a cap of 150 people for the show. Here is where fans may buy tickets.
Summer Soul is a singer-songwriter based in Seoul, South Korea. In 2018, she made her debut with the song “How Beautiful.” She collaborated with producer Charming Lips on the song “Kill Your Darling,” which surpassed over 2.6 million plays on Spotify. She dropped two additional songs by the end of 2018, “I Feel Love” and “Barefoot.”
Together with musician Mid Air Thief, the SoundCloud phenomenon turned global K-Indie favorite also contributed writing credits to the album, Crumbling. The album earned a nomination for Album of the Year and won Best Dance & Electronic Music at the 2018 Korean Music Awards.

Summer Soul blends grunge and seductive R&B, infusing her music with cynical yet captivating lyrics. Her sound retains the raw edge of her bedroom artist roots while delivering a stream of hits. After BTOB members suggested her song “I’m Your Puppy” on HIDDEN TRACK NO.V on Naver V Live, her fame skyrocketed.
Her song “Tinder” achieved over 600,000 plays in 2020, establishing her as a major player in the K-indie scene. She demonstrated her versatility through noteworthy collaborations with Korean rapper JUSTHIS. Also released critically acclaimed EPs, in November and December. Summer Soul wrote several OSTs, including “Find Love.” Coupang Play featured this song in the K-drama Hit The Spot.
With the hits “RUBY” and “RIDE (feat. JUEUN)” from her recent performance on CURV. Summer Soul will ignite the stage live in Malaysia. She will deliver her eclectic discography to fans and sun-seekers alike! Longtime pals DISTORTED, a Malaysian male group, will accompany her for her live debut in Malaysia.
