The highly anticipated Wattpad adaptation of I Love You Since 1892 is officially happening, with a star-studded cast bringing the beloved characters to life.
On July 24, 2025, Studio Viva finally unveiled the cast of the Wattpad hit I Love You Since 1892. The cast reveal took place at Viva Café and was spearheaded by CJ Villavicencio.
Also present were the book’s author, Binibining Mia, and the adaptation’s director, Mac Alejandre.
Leading the adaptation are Heaven Peralejo, Jerome Ponce, and Joseph Marco, who will portray Carmela Isabella/Carmelita Montecarlos, Juanito Alfonso, and Leandro Flores, respectively.

I Love You Since 1892
I Love You Since 1892 was written by Filipino author Mia Alfonso, also known as UndeniablyGorgeous or Binibining Mia.
The story follows Carmela Isabella, a girl from 2016 who travels back to the year 1892. A member of the wealthy Montecarlos clan, Carmela soon discovers her striking resemblance to her great-grandmother’s youngest sibling, Carmelita Montecarlos.
In 1892, Carmelita had fallen in love with Juanito Alfonso, the son of a powerful gobernadorcillo. Carmelita died a tragic death, and when Carmela is transported back in time, she becomes determined to change her ancestor’s fate.
However, while trying to rewrite history, Carmela falls in love with Juanito herself. Struggling to maintain the identity of Carmelita, she uncovers painful secrets and unexpected truths along the way.

Heaven Peralejo as Carmela Isabella / Carmelita Montecarlos
After her acclaimed portrayal of Luna in The Rain in España, Heaven Peralejo takes on the dual role of Carmela and Carmelita.
During the I Love You Since 1892 cast reveal, Heaven expressed her excitement to play the role of Carmela/Carmelita. She shared that after learning she was cast, she immediately started researching and reading the book.
Heaven has had multiple roles in the entertainment industry, with recent projects including Sunny (2024), Fruitcake (2024), and Lilim (2025).
She was highly praised for her performance as Luna in the University Series adaptation.
Jerome Ponce as Juanito Alfonso
Stepping into the role of Juanito Alfonso is Jerome Ponce. He recently portrayed Hiro in Safe Skies, Archer, another adaptation from the University Series.
This won’t be the first time Heaven and Jerome share the screen—they previously worked together on the University Series.
Jerome said he feels a mix of happiness, fear, and excitement for this new role. Although some people doubted his casting, he promised to give his best and not waste the trust placed in him.
With his charm and proven acting skills, Jerome is expected to win hearts as Juanito.

Joseph Marco as Leandro Flores
Carmelita’s former flame, Leandro Flores, will be portrayed by hunk actor Joseph Marco, who recently signed with Viva.
In an interview, Joseph said,
I’m privileged and honored, especially since I just recently signed with Viva.
He added that this kind of project excites him because he gets to change both his look and personality. He also shared how passionate he is about the role.
