Atasha Muhlach as Lin
Atasha Muhlach will be the protagonist of the Bad Genius: The Series PH adaptation, portraying the character of Lin. She already starred in different films and shows like Da Pers Family and Ang Lihim ni Mayor Manalo.
Her character, Lin, is a scholar and top student in a well-known private school. To ensure that she maintains her high grades, she helps her classmates with exams. However, it became a money-making cheating scheme.
According to Atasha, she’s really nervous about this role because it’s big for her. But she said that she’ll try her best to fulfill the role the best that she can.
It’s a great story. And it’s such an honor and blessing to be doing this project.
As added by Atasha, her parents—Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales—have been helping her as she practiced her role as Lin, giving her some general pointers to remember.
Jairus Aquino, The New ‘Bank’
Bank, the rival of Lin, will be played by Jairus Aquino in the Bad Genius: The Series. In the midst of their academic rivalry, Bank eventually joined Lin in the cheating scheme that’s been happening in their school due to his financial problems.
Jairus began his acting career at a young age and gained recognition for his roles in films such as Langit Lupa, Otlum, and the recently concluded Wattpad adaptations Safe Skies, Archer, and Chasing in the Wild, where he costarred alongside Gab Lagman and Hyacinth Callado.
It’s a different story from what we’re used to seeing on TV and series. I’m excited because it’s a different material for me and working with Tash, with HyGab (Hyacinth and Gab) again.

It’s such a good series and movie, I’m just really excited to shoot this. It’s really different from the last character I did (Chasing in the Wild). I’m really excited to showcase what we have.
Lagman already starred in shows like Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story and Hello, Universe. Gab will also work with Hyacinth, his leading lady in the recently concluded series, Chasing in the Wild.
Bad Genius’ Grace will be Hyacinth Callado
The character of Grace, Pat’s girlfriend and Lin’s first friend in school, will be portrayed by Hyacinth Callado. Grace became Lin’s first client in the cheating business so that she’ll be able to get excellent grades in hopes of joining the theater club.
In terms of pressure, we all know this is such an internationally well-loved film and series. So, just knowing that, we all feel super grateful to be trusted with this responsibility of portraying these roles. We’re excited to showcase the characters from a Filipino perspective.
Hyacinth also worked with Gab and Jairus in series like Safe Skies, Archer and Chasing in the Wild. The latter in which she was paired with Gab.
