Spotify Shows Global Impact List in South Korea

The music streaming platform reveals its 2024 South Korean Music Global Impact List. It acknowledges the top thirty South Korean songs with the most impact in the first six months of 2024.

Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming platform, drops its Global Impact List in South Korea. It shows the local artists’ songs that made their marks in the first half of the year. The South Korean Music Global Impact List for the first half of 2024 has the 30 most-streamed songs by South Korean artists released from January 1 to June 30, excluding streams from South Korea.



The most streamed track outside of South Korea is the ILLIT song “Magnetic.” The second spot belongs to BTS V’s song “FRI(END)S.“. Third and fourth place are LE SSERAFIM’s “Smart” and “EASY,” respectively. The fifth place belongs to BABYMONSTER’s “SHEESH“.

Members from the boy group BTS dominate the list with a total of six songs. Including V’s solo, Jung Kook‘s “Never Let Go” ranks at nine, J-hope‘s “NEURON (with Gaeko & YOON MIRAE)” and “i wonder… (with Jung Kook of BTS)” places at eleven, and twenty-seven, respectively. RM‘s “Come back to me” and “LOST!” is at numbers nineteen and twenty-two. Girl group LE SSERAFIM has three songs on the list and those are MAX’s “STUPID IN LOVE (feat. HUH YUNJIN of LE SSERAFIM)” rounding out the top ten. BABYMONSTER, aespa, (G)I-DLE, and TWICE each have two songs included in the list.

Spotify 2024 South Korea Music Global Impact List

The music streaming app recently released key South Korean streaming data as part of its Loud & Clear 2024 report. It showcases transparency in the global music streaming industry.



In 2023 alone, first-time listeners will discover artists from South Korea nearly 2.2 billion times on Spotify. It shows 3,600 Korean artists added to Spotify’s editorial playlists. South Korean artists on Spotify generated royalties that exceeded KRW 180 billion (USD 138 million) last year.
