Japanese singer-songwriter KeNN has officially released his fan-favorite single, “RUST,” along with a cinematic music video.
KeNN embraces the new year with the release of his fourth single, “RUST,” on January 14. The said track was first performed by the singer in various live shows, including YouTube Music Night in Jakarta. It immediately became a crowd favorite with fans asking for its official release, and now their requests have been answered.

Behind the Track: “RUST”

Compared to his past releases, “Rust” presents a mild yet welcome change from his usual style. The song basks in a gentle groove that finds you bobbing your head unconsciously. But as you listen closer, the emotions within each verse start breaking through the cracks. Offering an interesting contrast to its sound, KeNN sings of a relationship reaching its end — slowly over time.
Alongside KeNN, the track was co-written with Young_Vibe and produced by MON/KU. Their collaboration gave “RUST” its signature edge with its “sleek R&B-pop” fusion.

At a young age, KeNN has always been exposed to a wide variety of music. Alongside his parents, who are both DJs, he pursued a career in music by posting covers on social media. His charming vocals and personal touch to each song quickly drew attention, as he gained over 40,000 followers on YouTube and TikTok.
