SHINee‘s Onew is ready to resume his artistic endeavors as he signs with a new agency, marking a new chapter in his career.
On April 3, Onew surprised fans by unveiling a fresh profile picture on his social media platforms. This is accompanied by a heartfelt message, “You’ve waited a long time, right? Thank you!”
Following the expiration of his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, Onew made waves by announcing his partnership with the new agency, Griffin Entertainment.
Expressing their enthusiasm, Griffin Entertainment stated, “We are thrilled to embark on this new journey with Onew. Our aim is to provide unwavering support and create a nurturing environment for artists to thrive.”
After temporarily suspending his activities in June last year due to health concerns, Onew has focused on recovering while SM Entertainment concentrated on stabilizing SHINee’s 8th studio album and concert plans.
As the spotlight shifts to Onew’s future endeavors under Griffin Entertainment, fans eagerly anticipate the diverse array of projects and performances he will bring to life.
Debuting as a member of SHINee in 2008, Onew has left an indelible mark on the music scene, both as a solo artist and as part of the iconic group. With his boundless talent and unwavering passion, Onew continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his music and artistry.
Furthermore, news surfaced regarding the expiration of Onew’s exclusive contract with SM Entertainment earlier in March 2024. In response, SM Entertainment confirmed that SHINee would maintain group activities under their banner, while individual members would pursue opportunities for personal contracts.
Just days later, on April 1, Big Planet Made made headlines by announcing an exclusive contract signing with another SHINee member, Taemin.
