RADWIMPS celebrates its 20th anniversary with a new album, a new song, and a special studio performance.

RADWIMPS, the well-known Japanese rock group, is excited to announce several remarkable milestones to mark their 20th major debut anniversary.

They will release their brand-new studio album on October 8 and their new single, “Meidai.” The theme music for NTV’s “news zero,” which airs on July 23, will be this song. Additionally, a special studio performance of “Tamamono” will be released on YouTube and serves as the theme for NHK’s drama series Anpan. Watch here.




The next album will feature the previously released song “Tamamono,” the recently unveiled song “Meidai,” and additional unreleased tracks. RADWIMPS will also issue a 20th Anniversary Special Box Set that features interviews and behind-the-scenes from the “Tamamono” studio performance. The package will also include a unique pouch containing limited-edition anniversary items. The box will be available for pre-order in the upcoming weeks.

As if that weren’t enough, the group will also go on the “RADWIMPS 20TH ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR.” They will have 17 arena performances in nine major Japanese cities. The band will be releasing its previous albums on vinyl in celebration of the 20th anniversary. Starting May 7, 2025, they will release a new title every month until September, beginning with “Batsu To Maru To Tsumi To” (2013). These LPs: “Batsu To Maru To Tsumi To,” “Zettaizetsumei,” “Arutokoroni No Teiri,” “RADWIMPS 4 -Okazu No Gohan-,” and “RADWIMPS 3-Mujintou ni Motteikiwasureta Ichimai-.” Fans can now place preorders here.
