PLAVE sets the record for second-highest first week sales for a single album by a boy group with their second single album, PLBBUU.
PLAVE surpasses their own record for first-week sales with the release of PLBBUU, their second single album. The album sold 1.09 million units in its first week, placing their sales record second only to BTS’ Butter. Back in February of this year, their third mini album, Caligo Pt. 1, sold over 1.03 million units, making them the first virtual idol group to be first-week million sellers.

PLAVE + BUU
PLBBUU includes three songs, with the title track “BBUU!” being a collaboration with Sanrio. The music video features adorable chibi versions of the members paired with beloved Sanrio characters – My Melody, Kuromi, Pochacco, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll – as they frolic in a fluffy dream world.
The second track in the album, “숨바꼭질 (Hide and Seek)” is the Korean version of “Kakurenbo (Hide and Seek),” their Japanese debut released last June. “Kakurenbo (Hide and Seek)” marked another achievement for the group as it recorded the highest number of first week sales for a Japanese album by international artists in 2025.
Closing out the tracklist, “Bongsoong-a” is a tender love song featuring an old folk belief involving the bongsoong-a, or garden balsam. Koreans would traditionally use the flower’s petals to dye their fingernails, the belief being that if the dye remains until the first snow falls, the person’s first love will come true.

PLAVE + PLLI
PLAVE is a five member virtual boy group under VLAST. They debuted on March 12, 2023 with the single album ASTERUM. Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho, and Hamin are virtual personas created by humans who use motion capture technology to track their movements and expressions, much like Vtubers. The group is fully self-producing, with Yejun, Noah, and Eunho taking care of music production, and Bamby and Hamin in charge of performance and choreography.
With the support of their dedicated fandom PLLI, PLAVE continues to achieve more career milestones, winning first place on multiple music shows and selling out two of the top five stadiums in South Korea (KSPO Dome and Gocheok Sky Dome). These well-deserved accomplishments are an indication of PLAVE’s immense potential not only as virtual idols but as talented artists in the K-pop industry.

PLAVE’s PLBBUU is available to stream on all music platforms.
