Japanese rock band Paledusk continues to leave a lasting mark on the global music scene with their latest single, “NO WAY!!” featuring comedian-musician soshina — and it’s as explosive as ever.

On October 8, Fukuoka-born powerhouse Paledusk officially released the rock-infused track “NO WAY!!” in collaboration with soshina. This single follows their major hit “HUGs,” which gained love from fans worldwide as the opening theme for the dystopian anime Gachiakuta.

The collaboration came to life through their shared admiration for each other’s craft, as both artists are known for their creativity and genre-defying sound. With them having shared stages together in the past, “NO WAY!!” feels like a track that was destined to happen. And it did not disappoint.

In addition to this special project, Paledusk is expected to drop another single called “I ♡ YOU BABY!!” on November 5. Both tracks further build anticipation for their first full-length album, PALEDUSK, hitting the shelves on November 26, right on time for their tenth anniversary. The album will span 12 tracks, including their latest singles and well-loved releases like “PALEHELL” and “RUMBLE feat. Masato.”

Behind the Track: “NO WAY!!” ft. soshina

I want to take off and fly away
I want to blast off high in the sky
You and I
We’ll catch that dream

Staying true to their roots, “NO WAY!!” defies the conventions of Japanese rock and drives forward with raw, unfiltered grit. It breaks through the chaos, leaving behind a comforting message to “run towards what you want, no matter what gets in your way.” Paledusk’s infectious energy finds an equal match in soshina, resulting in a dynamic synergy that further elevates the track.

Shortly after the digital release, Paledusk and soshina unveiled a fun music video that mirrors the song’s chaotic charm. It features the band’s vocalist sending a party invitation to his crush, only to see her catching feelings for another man. Despite the emotional premise, the video shifts focus towards release as the rest of the band comforts their member with an explosive performance — a perfect end befitting the track’s theme.
