Only Murders in the Building (OMITB) is a mystery, comedy, and drama series created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Its pilot aired in August 2021, which was then renewed each succeeding year for a new season.
The story centers on three true-crime podcast fans—Charles (Steve Martin), Mabel (Selena Gomez), and Oliver (Martin Short)—who come together to solve a succession of murders that take place in the Arconia, an upscale apartment building in New York where the trio lives.

What to expect in Only Murders in the Building season 5?
With a new mystery to solve, Only Murders in the Building Season 5 is introducing a fresh cast of characters. From the posts on the series’ official account, we can see some of Arconia’s newest visitors, such as Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, and Logan Lerman.
Additionally, we can expect some of our favorite recurring characters to return in season 5, with the main cast posting behind-the-scenes photos with Da’Vine Joy Randolph and James Caverly. The two play Detective Williams and Theo Dimas, respectively.
