Indie-pop newcomer Maddie Regent announces her debut album and releases her latest single that is out now!
Rising artist Maddie Regent starts the new year with the announcement of her debut album, On the phone with my mom, which will release on May 16. To keep the hype for the album, she drops her latest single, “The wolf“, a song that showcases her signature mix of storytelling and electrifying pop beats.

The song was co-written and produced by her boyfriend and creative partner Cade Hoppe, with additional collaboration from Harper James of Eighty Ninety. The song has this euphoric vibe and an irresistible beat that calls attention. Maddie describes the song as a deep dive into the anxiety and fear when you encounter someone you once loved but now is a stranger.
Maddie shares her thoughts:
“There’s a part of you that’s paralyzingly afraid of them, but you wish you didn’t have to be.”
With its vulnerability and intensity, “The wolf” shows the bittersweet feeling of moving on while still being haunted by the past memories shared with that person. From previous singles like “You could break my heart” and “Sleeptalking,” “The wolf” continues to show what to expect for On the phone with my mom, an album that promises to be an interesting mix of introspective lyricism and escapist pop.
Following her two EPs MISS REGENT and Girl of Your Dreams, which received acclaim from listeners. Maddie rightfully deserves the praise and support from fans, making her mark in the Indie-pop genre.
