Keina Suda delivers a hypnotic dark-pop rush with his new pop-rock single “Libera リベラ,” out since January 14 for TV Tokyo’s We Are Bad Barbers.
Released on January 14, the newest single of Keina Suda “Libera リベラ” hits with sharp intensity. Created as the theme song for TV Tokyo’s drama We Are Bad Barbers, the track blends punchy alt-pop with a dark, cinematic edge. Together, the sound and visuals pull listeners into a world where tension and release collide.

“Libera” continues Keina Suda’s strong run of releases in 2025. This includes the cover-album project Fall Apart, which revisits his Balloon-era hits. Each release highlights his bedroom-pop roots while pushing his sound further into cinematic, genre-blending territory. All of this cements Keina Suda as a powerful creative voice in modern Japanese music.

“Libera リベラ” Music Video
The music video, directed by Mai of CLAN QUEEN, deepens the “Libera リベラ” experience. It mirrors the song’s restless energy while exploring themes of inner conflict and liberation. Through shadowy imagery and striking contrasts, the MV captures moments where pressure breaks and clarity takes over.
“When I first heard the song and lyrics, I felt that nightmares don’t only come from others—they come from the demons inside ourselves,” Mai shared. She said the video’s flashes of liberation show moments of mental clarity and action, while the song’s dark, driving sound builds toward a burst of light that defines Keina Suda’s style.
