London electro-funk trio Jungle return with “Carry On,” blending soulful vocals and groove-driven production as the first single from Sunshine.
Globally acclaimed electro-funk trio Jungle return with “Carry On,” the first single from their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Sunshine, arriving on August 14. The track premiered as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, offering a striking introduction to the band’s next creative chapter.
Comprised of J Lloyd, Tom McFarland, and Lydia Kitto, Jungle continue to refine their signature sound, blending soulful vocals, groove-driven production, and cinematic songwriting. “Carry On” highlights Kitto’s vocal prowess, balancing effortless vulnerability with deep resonance, and sets a compelling tone for the full album.

Sunshine follows the massive success of 2023’s Volcano, which cemented Jungle as a global force. That album has surpassed 1 billion streams worldwide, earned the band their first BRIT Award, and produced the viral hit “Back On 74”, which alone has exceeded 530 million streams and dominated TikTok and international charts.
The new album will release in multiple physical formats, including black 180g single gatefold LP, Desert Peach single gatefold LP, translucent brown marble single gatefold LP, and digipak CD. Fans who pre-order through Jungle’s official store will also receive early access to the album’s tour pre-sale.
To support the release, Jungle have announced an expansive global headline tour across three continents. The North American leg begins this September with major arena dates in Los Angeles and New York, plus a landmark performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In November, the band returns to the UK and Europe, including a 20,000-capacity homecoming show at London’s O2, before heading to Australia in March 2027.

Jungle formed in London in 2013 when Tom McFarland and J Lloyd joined forces, with regular collaborator Lydia Kitto becoming an official member in 2024. They quickly made their mark by fusing modern disco, soul, and hip-hop with striking visual storytelling, featuring world-class choreography. Their self-titled debut album in 2014 reached the UK Top 10, instantly establishing them as a standout act. They continued their momentum with another Top 10 album, For Ever, in 2018, followed by Loving In Stereo in 2021, which climbed to #3 in the UK charts.
In 2023, Jungle solidified their global presence with the release of Volcano, which also reached #3 in the UK. The album featured their biggest hit to date, “Back On 74”, certified Platinum in both the UK and US. The success of Volcano propelled the band into sold-out arenas around the world, performing to hundreds of thousands of fans across 2023 and 2024. Major highlights included headline shows at London’s O2, Coachella, and All Points East.
To date, Jungle have accumulated an impressive 3.4 billion streams and maintain over 9.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, reflecting their enduring appeal and global influence.
