Jaguero release Make Me Feel Alive Again, a raw debut that channels punk, grunge, and emo into an urgent, emotionally honest search for identity.
Jaguero, a band from Vicenza, Italy, release their first full-length album Make Me Feel Alive Again. The record arrives with intensity and intent. It does not aim for polish or comfort. Instead, it embraces uncertainty and emotional tension.
The band builds on earlier EPs Worst Weekend Ever and New Love. Those releases helped them grow a dedicated following. However, this debut pushes further into raw expression. It draws from punk, grunge, and emo influences. Furthermore, it refuses to settle into a single genre.
The album moves between melody and distortion. Soft passages break into louder, faster bursts. As a result, the record feels unstable in a deliberate way. Singles like “Hold Me Close / Monday” and “Twentyfour7” previewed this contrast. The full album now expands that push-and-pull into a complete statement.
The band describes the project as a reflection of vulnerability. They explain that they use uncertainty as creative fuel. In addition, they focus on emotion over perfection. Each track explores the search for identity in real time.
Raw Emotion, Shaped with Intent
Jaguero avoid polished formulas on this record. They prioritize honesty over control. Moreover, they turn discomfort into motion. Their songwriting captures moments of doubt, frustration, and release without softening the edges.
Production comes from Maurizio Baggio at La Distilleria. He shapes the album with a direct and immediate sound. The mix preserves detail while maintaining urgency. As a result, the record feels both rough and precise.
The visual identity supports the same approach. Giacomo Bianco handles the cover photography. David Sarappa contributes additional band images. In addition, Andrea Campesato Segnini and Guido Dal Prà lead art direction and design. Giulia Boggio’s Ufficio Display typeface completes the visual system.
Together, these elements create a unified aesthetic. However, the focus remains on the music’s emotional core. Make Me Feel Alive Again stands as a debut shaped by tension, honesty, and constant movement.
The album is out now via Anchors Aweigh Records.
