Korean singer-songwriter imzoo released her first international collaboration “waiting for u” with Australian singer-songwriter will hyde on July 31, 2026.
The song is written from the perspective of two people caught in the uncertainty between friendship and romance. It captures the familiar feeling of waiting for a text, checking your phone, and wondering whether someone else feels the same way.
The warm R&B groove and understated production combines relatable storytelling with effortless chemistry between the two artists.
The song does not follow a traditional duet format, but written as an unfolding conversation. imzoo is the someone waiting, while will hyde responds from the other side, revealing that both have been experiencing the same emotions. Their vocals naturally alternate throughout the song, the story developing from both perspectives.
The song is also bilingual. imzoo performs parts of the song in English, while will hyde sings several lines in Korean, making the back and forth more authentic.

I helped will hyde practice the Korean lyrics during recording, and it was fun hearing his pronunciation become more natural over time. Learning each other’s languages while making music together became one of my favorite parts of this collaboration.

imzoo is a 2005-born singer songwriter. She is shaping Gen Z sound through raw emotion, TikTok buzz, and SoundCloud roots.
