HONNE marks its 10-year milestone with a reimagined version of “Location Unknown,” now featuring NIKI. The song first arrived in 2018 and quickly became a fan favorite. Now, the duo revisits the track with a fresh arrangement while keeping its emotional core intact.
Reflecting on the song’s journey, HONNE shared that “Location Unknown” has always carried special meaning for them. When they first wrote it, they sensed it held something bigger than expected. Over time, the track traveled far beyond the studio. It became part of listeners’ lives across the world. For the duo, returning to it ten years later feels deeply personal.
NIKI, a longtime friend and collaborator, adds another layer of meaning to the new version. She also recalled discovering the song as a fan in 2018, when it lived on her college playlist. Joining the anniversary release, she said, feels like a full-circle moment.

A Decade of HONNE Revisited
The new version follows the earlier release “Warm On A Cold Night (10 Years),” another track from the anniversary project HONNE — 10. The upcoming album features 12 re-recorded songs, all drawn from the duo’s first two records. This time, however, the duo presents them in stripped-back arrangements. The minimal production highlights the lyrics and emotional warmth that define their music.
For the duo, revisiting these songs sparked a sense of reflection. They explained that recording the acoustic versions reminded them why they started making music together in the first place. The full album will arrive on May 15, 2026, celebrating a decade of HONNE’s journey. Soon after, the duo plans to bring these intimate versions to the stage with a seated theatre tour around the world. More details about the release and tour dates will follow in the coming months.
