GYUBIN Wraps Up Collaboration Trilogy with “Special” Single ft. Kim Jong Wan from NELL

GYUBIN continues to prove why she has swept music listeners’ hearts with her newest single.

GYUBIN concludes her collaboration project trilogy with her latest single, “Special,” featuring Kim Jong Wan of NELL.

Each of the three tracks in the trilogy was released in 2023. “Scribble” with Wonstein in September and “Start To Shine” with Dynamicduo’s GAEKO in November. The songs were released before GYUBIN’s official debut, earning her the title of super rookie. Kim Jong Wan of NELL, GYUBIN’s lifelong mentor and friend, co-wrote and produced the song “Special” with her.



The song aims to provide comfort to young individuals facing challenging circumstances. No matter what others think, GYUBIN and Kim Jong Wan want their listeners to remember that they are unique.

GYUBIN released this song 100 days after her debut single “Really Like You” (January 2024) as a special treat for her fans. The song has gone viral. It has over eight million streams on Spotify and placements in the top 50 charts in countries like South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.



“Ultimately, “Special” sings hope. I hope this song can be a huge support to everyone who is going through a hard time,” said Kim Jong Wan, member of NELL.

GYUBIN is a South Korean singer under Liveworks Company who debuted on January 17, 2024, with the single “Really Like You.” At 17 years old, she is deemed a ‘super rookie’ who garnered a lot of attention from her pre-debut collaboration songs, “Scribble” featuring WONSTEIN and “Start to Shine,” featuring Korean hip-hop artist GAEKO of Dynamicduo.

In 2020, she competed on KBS’s idol reality survival show, Top 10 Student.
