Zion.T and the standards of a friend
As for his new boss, Giriboy has chosen a true master of his craft.
When you spend any amount of time getting to know Korea’s hip-hop space, you won’t go far without hearing about Zion.T. He is one of the most popular rappers to ever come out of Korea and has won multiple awards in both the fields of rap and R&B.
Zion.T. formed his own record label, Standard Friends, back in 2022. He’s made waves with it and has focused on rap acts, signing rising star Wonstein and producer Slom to exclusivity deals. With the signing of Giriboy, Standard Friends continues to push the envelope when it comes to the rap game. Meanwhile, Zion.T’s creative pursuits will still be under the label he is currently signed to, YG Entertainment’s The Black Label.
It would be interesting to see what Giriboy will cook up for his fans. Now that he’s in new territory and under the Standard Friends umbrella, the sky will be the limit for him!
