Class is in session again! Japanese group GENIC’s rock-infused single, “ENDER,” is the latest opening theme of Assassination Classroom.
On October 2, Japanese co-ed group GENIC released their new single, “ENDER,” a high-octane anthem fueled with hard-hitting vocals, trendy rap flows, and electrifying instrumentals.
The track also serves as the opening theme for the third rerun of Assassination Classroom. Created by Yusei Matsui, this manga-turned-anime follows a class of high school delinquents assigned with a special task: to assassinate their homeroom teacher, Koro-sensei, an octopus-like mutant with extreme powers, before he destroys the world.

The release of the new single aligned with GENIC’s ongoing preparations for their first Nippon Budokan show happening on November 5, adding to the growing excitement among fans. Furthermore, the group has recently announced a best-of album entitled CIRCLE -BEST of GENIC- dropping on December 24 to commemorate their 5th anniversary since debut.

Behind the Track: “ENDER”
Matching the show’s pace, “ENDER” commands attention from the very first beat. The track’s energy remains unmatched, the best fit for the anime’s action-packed scenes. But beyond its flashiness are lyrics with emotional depth, reflecting the show’s themes of camaraderie and resilience. This unique balance between intensity and emotion is what makes “ENDER” the perfect opening — and GENIC a must-listen group.
Following the digital release, a music video highlighting key moments from Assassination Classroom was uploaded on GENIC’s YouTube channel. With the inclusion of the anime’s visuals, the track’s message resonates even more, especially for long-time fans of the beloved series.
