Fishbone celebrate the 40th anniversary of In Your Face with a special reissue while continuing their legacy through Stockholm Syndrome, lineup evolution, extensive touring, and new music on the horizon for 2026.
Fishbone mark the 40th anniversary of their 1986 debut In Your Face with a nationwide spring tour and a special double LP reissue, In Your Face / Cover Your Face, arriving April 10.
Alongside the announcement, the band opens pre-orders for the limited-edition release, which pairs a newly remastered version of the original album with a tribute record. As a result, the project not only revisits their groundbreaking debut but also reintroduces it through a modern lens.
The second disc, Cover Your Face, brings together artists from around the world who reinterpret tracks from the original record. Contributors include Twin Shadow, Patrick Stump, Catbite, Wheatus, The Ratchets, Silversun Pickups, Kimya Dawson, and Doom Regulator, among others.
Each artist offers a personal take, reflecting how Fishbone’s genre-blending sound shaped their own musical journeys. Through these reinterpretations, the tribute album highlights the band’s lasting influence across punk, ska, funk, and alternative scenes.

Anniversary Tour and Immersive Fan Experience
To celebrate further, Fishbone will perform In Your Face in full at every tour stop before launching into a second set of fan favorites. At the same time, they introduce a VIP experience for the first time, which includes soundcheck access, karaoke sessions with the band, meet-and-greets, and exclusive signed vinyl.
The current lineup features Angelo Moore, Christopher Dowd, James Jones, Hassan Hurd, John “JS” Williams II, and Tracey “Spacey T” Singleton.
Meanwhile, the spring tour spans cities across the United States, kicking off in San Francisco on April 9 and continuing through major stops like Seattle, Chicago, New York, and Atlanta before wrapping in California in May. Along the way, various supporting acts join the run, adding new energy to each show. Ultimately, the tour and reissue work hand in hand, celebrating Fishbone’s legacy while reconnecting them with longtime fans and new listeners alike.

Fishbone have spent over four decades redefining genre boundaries, blending punk, ska, funk, and soul into a bold, politically charged sound. Emerging from the Los Angeles punk scene, they quickly built a reputation for electrifying live shows and unapologetic commentary on social issues.
Then, in June 2025, they returned with Stockholm Syndrome, their first full-length album in more than 20 years. The record delivers both chaos and clarity, pairing infectious energy with sharp reflections on modern life. Tracks like “Racist Piece of Shit (RxPxOxS)” confront systemic racism head-on, while “Last Call In America” offers a groove-driven critique of economic and social unrest.
Despite lineup changes, Fishbone continue to evolve without losing their core identity.
