Accidentally On Purpose track listing

1. Baby, Not Baby

“Baby, Not Baby” is the lead single of the mini-album. Listeners will immediately recognize that this is a significant departure from Seulgi’s previous single, “28 Reasons.” The whole vibe of the song screams “rebel,” with the electric guitar riffs emphasizing that edge to the song.

Seulgi’s vocals excel as always; her strong and confident delivery will certainly grab the listener’s attention when this song plays. The song conveys a sense of surprise as it unveils a side or personality that Seulgi rarely displays.

As for the music video, it perfectly complements the song. Throughout the entire video, Seulgi unleashes her wild side, causing a ruckus at a mall before the police apprehend her for destroying a vehicle. The music video clearly demonstrates her ability to portray a dark and villainous persona. In professional wrestling terms, this is Seulgi showing her “heel-turn” persona and we are here for it.

2. Better Dayz

The song conveys a significant amount of pessimism, taking an ironic turn with its title. It has a slower and more haunting vibe to it, reminiscent of her 2017 era with Red Velvet. The vocals give a cold and chilly vibe to it as if it wants the listener to be hypnotized. It tells them that whatever happens, just trust, and everything will be fine, circling back to the irony of the title.

3. Rollin’ (With My Homies)

The vibes take a turn for this one as we go to a more wholesome route. The song is very straightforward with the message it’s trying to tell: just want to have a good time with friends. This song is a great choice to play whenever you are going on a trip or just chilling with the people you want to hang out with. Finally, Seulgi’s rendition of an R&B song is a welcome addition to Reveluvs’ repertoire.

4. Whatever

Another R&B track, only this time it promotes focusing on oneself. The tune has a simple, relaxing, and chill vibe, which greatly matches the message it’s trying to tell. The song is about not letting outside factors bother you and prioritize focusing on yourself right now. The lyric, “Everything is okay, whatever, just like that. Just let it go” perfectly summarizes the song.

5. Praying

A potential favorite of the album, this track is so therapeutic to listen to. The song goes intentionally slower because it wants the listener to be emotional and vulnerable when they listen to this. Seulgi’s vocals are flawless in this song; her soft yet strong voice adds another layer and nuance. This is one of her best songs so far.

6. Weakness

The song concludes the album with a sweet, romantic, and mellow vibe. A quick and forward message, the song tells that a certain someone is the only vulnerability and, in this case, their weakness. The vocals complement it well with its sweet and innocent delivery, giving off a young love type of situation. The album ends with a soft and effective landing.

To sum it all up, Seulgi does an impressive job once again for her solo comeback. She can really do different concepts and genres, starting with her wilder side and ending it with something more soft and emotional. Seulgi truly embodies the versatile moniker. We hope for more solo projects from her because this album further proves the care and dedication she puts into her craft. Reveluvs will definitely enjoy this one; give Seulgi the recognition and praise she deserves.
