NCT WISH shares what to expect in their new album
NCT WISH introduces the new album COLOR, stating, “It’s an album that fully embodies the colors of NCT WISH and will surprise our Czennies (fandom nickname).”
They also expressed excitement by introducing the new song “COLOR,” saying, “As soon as I heard it, I was sure that ‘this is it,’ and it’s a song that will properly show our growth.”
They continued,
As this is our first comeback in five months, we’ve worked hard to show you our more mature side. Our goal is to clearly show the album’s message of ‘painting the world with our colors,’ and our performance will also have a different charm than before, so please look forward to it.
NCT WISH Color Tracklist
COLOR
With powerful synthesizers, a cool chord progression, and an electro-pop sound, “COLOR” is the perfect title track for this album. The chorus and instrumental are both appealing, and the song is as bright and energetic as the title implies. The song’s lyrics convey NCT WISH’s audacious confidence in their ability to consistently uphold and add their own colors to the world. A total banger.
Baby Blue
The song evokes a sense of yearning and has a mysterious, mystical sound. While it lacks the vibrancy of the other songs, it still possesses a unique and distinct color.
Surf
The summer song “Surf” was pre-released. The group’s voice, with its dreamy and soft voices, gives this song a girl group vibe that makes it intriguing. The chorus is so catchy that it makes you want to sing along while enjoying the music on the beach and watching the waves.
Cheat Code
This song deserves everything, including promotion. The beat is insane, like you were hypnotized; I’ll never get bored of this music. The chorus as well as the instrumental of this song both slap. Only the title seems strange to me, especially if you comprehend the words; this album would be ideal with a better title.
Videohood
“Videohood” is the most NCT-coded song they’ve ever done, like a light version of “Fire Truck” by NCT 127. The sound of this song suits them so well. Their voice adds to the song’s sexiness by representing the colors black, white, and red.
Wichu
This will sound beautiful at concerts, especially when the crowd joins in on the singing and hand waves. A song about a form of love that is genuine, enduring, and reassuring—where simply being “With You” completes everything.
Reel-ationship
A pleasant song to wrap up the album. This sounds lovely, especially with the cat meow. “Reel-lationship” is a beautiful track that embraces your soul; their voice feels warm and sweet. It also sounds like a romantic original soundtrack for a Korean drama.
Since their debut, NCT WISH releases have kept getting better and better. Hoping that this will last long, and we’re looking forward to their next album.
Meanwhile, they recently performed their classic songs “Melt Inside My Pocket,” “Songbird,” “Hands Up,” “poppop,” “Sail Away,” and the pre-released song from their third mini album, “Surf,” at Japan’s biggest summer music festival, a-nation 2025, which took place at Tokyo Ajinomoto Stadium on August 31.
They also achieved their second consecutive million-seller status after selling over 1,087,000 copies in the first week of their second mini-album poppop in April, and according to Hanteo Chart on September 8, COLOR, which was released on the 1st, recorded its highest initial sales (sales in the first week after release) of 1,395,217 copies.
The title track “COLOR” also topped Melon’s Hot 100 chart and China’s QQ Music Rapidly Rising Chart, and NCT Wish’s album topped major domestic album charts.
