Lee Daewon and Aubrey Caraan have shared the stories behind “Selfish Guy” as well as representing Viva-Milagro Korea collaborations.
On September 5, 2025, “Selfish Guy” sung by Lee Daewon and Aubrey Caraan was released. The song marks the first collaboration of Viva Communications, Inc. and Milagro Korea since their partnership. “Selfish Guy” was written and composed by Lee Daewon himself.
During the press conference, he shared that the song was actually with him for years now but it felt like something was missing. Then came Aubrey Caraan, who according to Daewon, fits perfectly in the song. “Selfish Guy” is a song about a man who had to decide between career and love but ended up choosing a career which made him lose his love.

The Story Behind “Selfish Guy,” Recording Process, and Everything in Between
“Selfish Guy” marks Lee Daewon’s first composed song. When asked why it took him so long to write his own song, he shared that it happened so unexpectedly. He just wrote what he felt that time, and it happened to turn out great. He added that composing a song isn’t really that easy as he also had to consider the rhythm, pitch, and other things.
In addition, Aubrey shared that the recording process of the song wasn’t as hard as she thought. Despite the language barrier, Aubrey and Daewon were able to work together. Their passion and love for music were truly shown in this collaboration.
Aubrey also added that she really asked why she was chosen to be Daewon’s partner in this song, only to know that her voice range really matches Daewon’s. She highlighted that she’s grateful to be chosen to sing this song that has deep meaning.
Furthermore, the two were asked about their transition from being in a group to becoming solo artists. Daewon came from the idol group OFFROAD, while Aubrey was once part of a girl group Pop Girls. Aubrey said that the transition wasn’t really that hard or a big adjustment since she initially came as a solo before joining a group.
But she emphasized that she misses dancing and singing on stage with people who share the same love and passion as her. Meanwhile, Daewon said that since he came from a 5-member group, going solo feels like having to work five times harder.

Aubrey Caraan and Lee Daewon’s Future Plans for Their Song “Selfish Guy”
During the press conference, Aubrey Caraan mentioned that after their promotions here in the Philippines, they will fly to South Korea to also promote the song. Daewon added that they would probably start promoting the song in South Korea by October.
As for their personal goals this year, Aubrey happily mentioned that she really wanted to travel and work at the same time, and it will finally happen because of this collaboration. Daewon, on the other hand, would like to know more Tagalog words and interact with his Filipino fans.
The two also shared how they would describe each other. Aubrey praised Daewon by calling him amazing. Not just because of his voice, but also because of his personality and focus. Daewon mentioned that Aubrey is a great singer and very professional.
The press conference of Lee Daewon and Aubrey Caraan was filled with passion, chemistry, and love for music.
