Radiating charm and undeniable talent, Youngjae, the dependable vocalist of GOT7, enchanted audiences at the whimsically titled Inside Out concert in Manila.
Stepping beyond his vocal duties, the 27-year-old artist wowed the crowd with a captivating blend of smooth dance moves and unexpected rap interludes, leaving fans swooning in his wake. Presented by CDM Entertainment, this eagerly awaited spectacle unfolded on February 24, 2024, at the New Frontier Theater.

“Mabuhay! Ako si Youngjae!”
Setting the stage aglow, Youngjae appeared onstage donning a dazzling white ensemble. He literally got everyone vibing as he opened his setlist with “Vibin” and “Sugar.”
To the delight of Filipino Ahgases, Youngjae greeted the crowd in Tagalog with a cheerful “Mabuhay! Ako si Youngjae!” which translates to “Greetings! I’m Youngjae!” Spring green lights went wild as the fans enthusiastically waved their Ahgabong (GOT7 lightsticks) right when the lights went dim once again.
Youngjae went on to enchant with his ever-smooth and captivating vocals with “Deal and “Dream Again.” He also paid homage to one of his musical inspirations, Bruno Mars. Before his rendition of “When I Was Your Man,” Youngjae reminisced about attending the Filipino-American singer’s concert in Korea last year. He also acknowledged Bruno Mars’ Filipino roots.
Exploring Youngjae’s personalities
The 2024 Youngjae Asia Tour Inside Out in Manila aimed to delve into the various facets of oneself. “I believe that everyone has different versions of themselves. Tonight, it’s going to be player Youngjae and artist Youngjae.”
Furthermore, Youngjae proceeded to illuminate the stage with his infectious positivity, earning him the nickname “sunshine.” Tracks like “Focus,” “Tasty,” and “Do It” transported the audience to euphoric heights, basking in the glow of Youngjae’s radiant smile and addicting sound.
Despite feeling unwell, Youngjae did his best to deliver an unforgettable show for his fans. As he transitioned to soul-stirring tunes like “Lonely” and “Problem,” an unexpected hiccup arose.
Fans immediately noticed Youngjae’s irritated look as he kept on fixing his in-ears. The technical difficulties were a bummer, but his professionalism shone through as he soldiered on, undeterred by the setbacks.

Youngjae felt overwhelmed with PH iGOT7’s fan project
Youngjae kept apologizing for the technical difficulties. The crowd cheered for him as loud as they could, repeatedly saying that it was fine. And as if on cue, Filipino fans’ endless love and support were properly reciprocated through the well-thought-out fan project.
A heartwarming surprise fan video organized by AHGASISters was played for Youngjae. The video creatively reflected on his journey as a GOT7 member and as a solo artist. Youngjae watched closely, making him close to tears. He also complimented the editing and gave a thumbs-up for the effort.
Before the show started, attendees were delighted by the distribution of charming hand batters featuring none other than Youngjae’s beloved dog, Coco. Catching sight of the adorable design, Youngjae’s heart melted with longing for his furry friend. Grasping the banner tightly against his chest, he repeatedly called Coco’s name, a sweet reminder of the cherished bond awaiting him beyond the stage.

Youngjae is forever GOT7’s treasure
A GOT7 member’s concert event is not complete without a medley of their iconic hits! Youngjae treated fans with an encore featuring beloved songs “Hard Carry,” “Girls Girls Girls,” “Breath,” “Lullaby,” and “NANANA.” Adding an extra dose of charm, he ventured downstage, mingling closely with fans.
Youngjae capped off his setlist with tracks from his solo album, such as “Roses,” “Moonlight,” “Snooze,” “Thinking of You,” “Crema,” “Never Leave You Alone,” and “Flower.” He officially ended his stage with “Errr Day” and “Beautiful.”
Infusing the venue with boundless energy, Youngjae had fans erupting in excitement as he flashed GOT7’s signature hand sign. Amidst the thunderous cheers, he bid a heartfelt farewell with the endearing words, “Ahgase, mahal ko kayo!” (Ahgase, I love you!), leaving hearts brimming with warmth and anticipation for his return.
