It seems like EPEX never meant to hurt us because after releasing their title track, “눈물나게 고마워 (Grateful to Tears),” they want to play a game with its full English version, renamed “FOOL.”

EPEX launches their third full-length album, Youth Chapter 3 : ROMANTIC YOUTH, with their title track, “눈물나게 고마워 (Grateful to Tears),” on July 28. It is a trilogy series of their ‘Youth’ album, following “Youth Chapter 1: Youth Days” and “Youth Chapter 2: Youth Deficiency.”

Be a FOOL in Love

“FOOL” is the English version of their title track, “눈물나게 고마워 (Grateful to Tears),” which can be offered as gratitude, farewell and acceptance (all in one) to the one that you love, maybe to the one who left, who you appreciate, who you love, or who you miss a lot.

While the latest full English track, “FOOL,” expresses feelings of being trapped and controlled, which can lead to confusion and a sense of being manipulated due to your choice to remain in the situation. However, it also conveys a desire to escape the toxic relationship, even while recognizing the feeling of being a “fool in love.”

What if life was just a game and I was played by you
Controlled like a helpless fool
That’s how you make me stupid
Our love is so dang stupid

This song is ideal for someone who enjoys red flags but is unsure what road to choose when it comes to a love that leaves them with conflicting feelings.

I’m very excited to share ‘FOOL,’ the English version of the title track ‘Grateful to Tears’ from our third full-length album, with our fans. With the same melody but a different language, I think ‘FOOL’ highlights a difference in the overall tone of the song and the members’ voices. I hope many people can empathize with and feel comforted by EPEX’s music.” – WISH, leader of EPEX

EPEX believes their fans would enjoy listening to the song because, in addition to being a unique song because it is in a different language, they also disclosed that it was the first song to have a distinct message—from being released in Korean to being translated into English.

EPEX, as a 4-year K-pop boy group, has built confidence because they go beyond the extra mile to show off their talent.

You can stream ‘FOOL” on Spotify and Apple Music.
