Day6 To Make Comeback After Three Years

Are you ready, My Days? The long-anticipated comeback of our super band, DAY6 is finally here!

On February 16, 2024, JYP Entertainment confirmed the news that Day6 is gearing up for a comeback.

According to Hankook Ilbo, they are now filming a new music video and will make a return in the middle of March. After a long hiatus, Day6 is finally here for the eagerly anticipated comeback.

This will mark Day6 first-ever release since all four members have fulfilled their mandatory military service duties from 2021 to 2023. Also, in November of last year, Wonpil was the final member to be discharged.

In addition, Day6 returns following a three-year military hiatus since the release of their latest album, The Book of Us: Negentropy – Chaos Swallowed Up in Love, in 2021.

Furthermore, Day6 recently held three solo concerts last December, titled “The Present: You Are My Day.”  This was also the band’s first-ever concert since December 2019.

My Day has been anticipating this comeback since forever. We’ve survived as military wives; thank you for staying with Day6.

About Day6

DAY6 made their debut as the first-ever band under the JYP Entertainment label. The band was originally composed of six members but currently consists of four: Sungjin, the leader, vocalist, and guitarist; Young K, the guitarist, rapper, and bassist; Wonpil, the vocalist and keyboardist; and Dowoon, the maknae, drummer, and vocalist.

In 2015, they released their debut mini album, which includes their hit heart-wrenching song “Congratulations,” “Freely,” “Colors,” and more. Moreover, they released Daydream, their second mini album, in 2016.

More tracks followed in 2017 as they released Every Day 6,  featuring two tracks every month from January to December. It was a unique concept from a band, and everyone loved it since it gave them something to look forward to every month.

They released both their third mini-album, Shoot Me: Youth Part 1, and their fourth mini-album, Remember Us: Youth Part 2, in 2018. Also, their first Japanese full album in 2018, Unlock, contains ten tracks.

From 2019 to 2021, the band released more songs under The Book of Us album series. The album series started with their fifth mini-album, The Book of Us: Gravity, in 2019, followed by their third Korean full-album, The Book of Us: Entropy, their sixth mini-album, The Book of Us: The Demon, in 2020, and lastly, their most recent mini-album, The Book of Us: Negentropy – Chaos Swallowed Up in Love, in 2021.
