Col Gerrard Self-titled Debut Album

Col Gerrard is a London-born singer-songwriter who grounds his work in classic songwriting and emotional honesty. Over time, constant movement between places and experiences shaped both his worldview and his sound. Because of that, his music carries a deep respect for melody, musicianship, and storytelling. Drawing from soul and classic pop, he writes songs that feel direct and personal. At the center of it all, melody and emotion lead the way.

Col Gerrard Self-titled Album

With his self-titled debut album, Col Gerrard sharpens his music identity even further. Across twelve tracks, he unpacks the emotional complexity of relationships and the weight they often leave behind. The album unfolds through themes of connection, miscommunication, longing, and the passage of time. At moments, the tracks sit in uncertainty. They reflect on repeated patterns in love — the waiting, the holding on, and the gradual realization that some answers never fully come. The songwriter explains,

These songs came from looking back at moments I didn’t fully understand at the time. Writing them was a way of making peace with the parts of love that don’t always make sense.

He recorded the project in several London studios, including Abbey Road Studios and Metropolis Studios, which helped shape its rich and layered sound. Long-time collaborator and Grammy-nominated producer Chris Potter, known for his work with The Rolling Stones, U2, and The Verve, engineered and produced the entire record.

As a result, the album carries a piano-driven, emotionally charged sound. Soulful, raspy vocals lead the way, supported by organic instrumentation. Driving guitars and upbeat percussion build energy, while a subtle thread of nostalgia runs throughout. Altogether, it creates a sound that feels cinematic yet uplifting. As Gerrard shares, “There’s a lot of energy in these songs, but they’re coming from real places. That felt important to me on this record.”

Tour Dates with Boyzlife

Col Gerrard is currently on tour with Boyzlife, featuring Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden, further building momentum as both a live performer and recording artist. At the same time, he has earned a feature from Rolling Stone UK, gained strong support across UK radio, and sold out a London headline show at The Camden Club. Together, these milestones signal an artist whose profile continues to rise both onstage and off.

With this self-titled release, Col Gerrard delivers his most focused and emotionally resonant work to date. Shaped by experience and patience, the album reflects a clear and confident artistic direction, while the tour signals an artist stepping firmly into his next chapter.
