Golden Goes Global

The 26-year-old idol has been creating a name of his own in the pop music scene as international artists have collaborated in developing and showcasing his music style.

GOLDEN consists of 11 tracks, of which multi-awarded producers and rappers join in a powerhouse “3D (ft. Jack Harlow)“, “Closer to You (ft. Major Lazer),” “Please Don’t Change (ft. DJ Snake),” and Spotify’s fastest song to reach one billion streams, “SEVEN (ft. Latto)” with two versions.

Other tracks were solely sung by Jungkook, including”Yes or No,” “Hate You,” “Somebody,” “Too Sad to Dance,” “Shot Glass of Tears,” and “Stand Next To You.”

Jungkook’s new music has a combination of funk, sultry, and bold music style from BTS’ youngest himself.

In an interview with WeVerse Magazine, Jungkook shared how he rediscovered his passion for the music he makes as a member of BTS and as an individual artist.

“I think I can only be the real me when I’m speaking my mind honestly. I feel like I’m changing in a way. Now, I think I should do things the way I want to do them. Because, if I do things right, lots of people will accept that, and then I can be more open about the real me,” he says.

“I was always the youngest one in the group. Now, I’m releasing my own solo song. It feels different working by myself, too. I think the responsibility that comes from how I interact with other people and the center of my thinking have both changed,” he added.

Jungkook’s Golden Seed

In his journey towards exploring his own music, Jungkook wanted to dedicate and send his utmost gratitude to their fans—where he took his inspiration.

“My life would be meaningless without ARMY now. I mean, they’re always there for me. ARMY and I are almost perfectly in sync now,” Jungkook says.

“They’re the ones who support me, so I want to be comfortable showing them who I am, and while we might be physically far apart, I hope we can feel like we’re right next to each other, just like friends,” he says.

BTS’ comeback in 2025 still has a long way to go, but its members remain to stick by each other’s dreams and legacy in the K-pop industry.

Jungkook was also nominated in the Billboard Music Awards 2023 with “SEVEN” for Top Global K-Pop Song with co-members Jimin (Top K-Pop Global Artist) and SUGA (Top K-Pop Touring Artist).
