Bea Elmy Martin - Anouk

Bea Elmy Martin returns with her most intimate work to date: “Anouk,” a heartfelt single dedicated to her closest friend.

London-born singer-songwriter Bea Elmy Martin is back with her latest single, “Anouk,” released on February 18. Close to her heart, it delicately traces the journey of her friendship with her best friend. From their humble beginnings in university to now, she sings of their deepening relationship over time.

Because of its significance, “Anouk” was a song that Bea revisited several times. Each revision reflected her desire to make it even better for her friend. She states in the press release, “Going back into a song multiple times doesn’t mean you lack intention. Sometimes it’s exactly what a song needs.”

I feel alive
By your side
I wanna stay high

Like a precious memory, “Anouk” makes you warm with its acoustic guitars and dreamy harmonies. Bea’s emotive vocals draw you in slowly, reeling your own cherished memories into the surface.

The track’s peak overwhelms you in a way that isn’t meant to be explosive. It’s more of a knot in your throat that lingers, like the feeling you get after spending a long day with your loved ones. A little sad yet incredibly content.

Getting to Know Bea

Bea grew up listening to classic soul artists such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Donny Hathaway. She found solace in songwriting after experiencing loss at an early age. It was her way of navigating life. Similar to writing in a journal, she sees music as a tangible way of expressing your emotions.

In 2021, her debut single “Blue Escape” kickstarted her artistic journey. Her skills continued to grow as she quietly made herself known in the UK alternative space. She continued to make music with her producer Dominick J Goldsmith (HÆLOS), which led to Under The Yew (Vol. 1) in May 2025.

She then went on to release more singles: “Lost,” “Born to Fly,” and “Unscarred.” Bea describes her previous record as a “personal excavation that transforms loss into light.” Its raw honesty carries over to “Anouk” like a satisfying full-circle moment. Following the single’s launch, Bea is set to headline a show at The Elephants Head in Camden on February 19.
