Alberta Cross will release their new single, “Toy Soldiers,” on January 23, 2026, marking their first new music of the year. The track previews a larger body of work, with more details set to follow in the coming months. With this release, the band signals a fresh creative chapter while staying true to their road-tested sound.

Formed in London, Alberta Cross is an Anglo-Swedish band led by songwriter Petter Ericson Stakee. After spending several years based in Brooklyn, the project has since returned to the UK. Early on, the band signed with Fiction Records in the UK and Geffen in the US after only four shows.
They launched a career shaped by constant touring and a steadily growing cult following. Over the years, they have shared stages with artists such as Oasis, Neil Young, Mumford & Sons, and Portugal. The Man, while performing at major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, and Fuji Rock.

Recorded as a raw power trio with members from The Vaccines and The Temperance Movement at the legendary Wool Hall Studios (The Smiths, Tears For Fears).
