The glamour of the Golden Globe Awards returns!
In what can be described as “big wins for Barbies, Bombs, Bears, Beefs, and Bourgeoisies,” the glamour of the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by first-timer Jo Koy, just occurred. Barbie led the nominations for Film, and Succession led the nominations for Television going into the ceremony.

What’s After Strike?
Airing for the first time after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association disbanded in July last year and after the historical half-year-long strikes from both Actors and Writers Guilds occurred last summer, the show kicks off the Annual Awards season of this year.
The stars walked the red carpet, showcasing their couture ensembles to flashing cameras. They entered the Beverly Hilton ballroom as previous attendees played catch-up with people they worked with before, and first-time attendees built connections to hopefully land their next projects.
Big Golden Globe Awards Win for The Bomb

Big Golden Globe Awards Win for Bourgeoisies
And the big winner in the Television categories is Succession with 4 wins. Tied for second are The Bear and Beef, with three wins each.

Big Golden Globe Awards Win for Blackfeet
A notable win is Lily Gladstone for Best Actress in a Motion Picture—Drama, becoming the first-ever indigenous woman to win the award for her portrayal as Mollie Burkhart in Killers of the Flower Moon. She starts her speech by introducing herself, where she’s from, and saying hello to everyone in Blackfeet language. It is an Algonquian language spoken by the Niitsitapi people, or Blackfoot.
She had a notable pause in the middle of it, and she said, while answering the question from a journalist of Hello Magazine backstage after her historic win, that she was trying to remember a beautiful word that her Language Revitalization’s Teacher Robert Hall taught her.
But it escaped her because nerves kicked in, and what she said in Blackfeet is what came naturally to her in the moment. A well-deserved win, as critics touted her as the highlight of the movie.
Final Thoughts
Overall, it was indeed a good night for Barbies, Bombs, Bears, Beefs, and Bourgeoisies. As we enter award season, whether or not the wins remain consistent or change hands with each award show remains to be seen. Tune in to find out whether it’s the former or the latter.
