Netflix Reveals Cast for Superhero Drama “Cashero”

Ready for superheroes with a realistic twist? Netflix has confirmed the cast for the superhero series Cashero, starring Lee Junho.

In an exciting announcement on April 18, Netflix unveiled the star-studded lineup for its much-anticipated superhero drama, Cashero. Led by 2PM’s Lee Junho (King the Land), Kim Hye Jun (Kingdom), Kim Byung Chul (Sky Castle), and Kim Hyang Gi (Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist).

Cashero promises to deliver a unique twist on the traditional superhero narrative. It follows the story of ordinary individuals who discover extraordinary abilities tied to their everyday lives.

Among them is Kang Sang Woong (Lee Junho), a humble government employee whose life undergoes a dramatic transformation when he gains the power to harness strength proportional to the cash he holds. Min Sook (Kim Hye Jun) is his analytical girlfriend.



Furthermore, the series also features Ho In (Kim Byong Chul), a lawyer whose powers emerge with alcohol consumption, and Eun Mi (Kim Hyang Gi), who has a calorie intake-activated power.

Cashero is directed by Lee Chang Min, known for his work on Agency and Welcome to Waikiki. With screenwriters Lee Je In and Cheon Chan Ho, the Netflix series promises to deliver a thrilling blend of action, drama, and suspense.



Additionally, the series is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. The audience can expect a richly imagined world where ordinary people become unlikely heroes.

For Lee Junho, Cashero represents another milestone as one of the most sought-after South Korean actors. He is the first idol-actor to win the prestigious Best Actor Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2022 for his role in The Red Sleeve. Fans and critics alike are eagerly anticipating the actor’s portrayal of Sang Woong.

Cashero is currently in the pre-production stage with an anticipated release in 2025.
