The wait is over, Daisies! Maisie Peters is back with “You You You” and “Audrey Hepburn” ahead of her third studio album.

English singer-songwriter Maisie Peters finally released her first music in two years with “You You You” and “Audrey Hepburn” on October 9, 2025. The two serve as dual lead singles for her upcoming third album (currently referred to as the mp3 era).

“You You You”

Truthfully, no one was expecting the release of “You You You” (“YYY”); after all, Maisie only teased us with “Audrey Hepburn” for the mp3 era. However, “YYY” is still a very welcome surprise track, and Maisie once again touched our hearts with her wicked songwriting.

According to Maisie, “You You You” is about the darkest trench of a heartbreak, a rumination on a consuming and ugly relationship. It’s impressive how she packed the pain and agony of heartbreak in less than 3 minutes. Once again, Maisie makes us feel as if we’ve been heartbroken, regardless of whether we have experienced it before or not. Given her tracks over the last years, however, is this even a surprise?

“Audrey Hepburn”

Listening to “Audrey Hepburn” gives us an experience that mimics the way bliss blossoms and spreads throughout our body, not dissimilar to when Maisie first announced its release. In contrast to “You You You”, “Audrey Hepburn” peeks into the hopeful kind of love.

i wanted to be immortal
now i’m fine with growing old

In “Audrey Hepburn”, Maisie writes about how the right love can bring inner peace, calm, and strength. Closely drawn from her current relationship, this song sprinkles us with the serenity that Maisie derives from that safe love.

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, “Audrey Hepburn” is a track that makes you want to fall in love (again).

Love, Two Kinds

There are different kinds of love, and in these pre-releases for mp3 era, Maisie Peters explored two polar sides.  In “You You You”, she tells us of ugly love, the kind that drains you. In “Audrey Hepburn”, she sings of the right kind of love, the one that lifts you.

Listening to these two songs back-to-back, despite showing two different kinds of love, is an experience. It is a reminder that while we may get our hearts broken, the right love will eventually find us, one where we’ll feel beautiful and at peace.

Once again, Maisie Peters has demonstrated her skills as a lyricist. “You You You” and “Audrey Hepburn” have proven that the two-year wait for her return was worth it. They have also laid the path for the third album, heightening the excitement over the new songs from Maisie.
