The band talks candidly and in-depth about the amazing legacy of LINKIN PARK, their seven-year road to new music. Also, their excitement for the future with longtime friend and Apple Music host Zane Lowe today. For those who are interested, you may watch the complete interview here.

Shinoda, Delson, Farrell, and Hahn have quietly started getting together again in recent years, with no expectations. Instead of forcing a reunion, they decided to focus on spending time together and rekindling their creative spark. Their friendship, forged in college, has always been the cornerstone of their band.

During this time, they invited friends and associates to the studio, finding a special connection with Armstrong and Brittain. The more time these artists spent in the studio together, the more natural chemistry pulled them back into its gravitational pull. It was the sound of seasoned musicians finding the boundless exuberance of a fresh start. This season saw the creation of FROM ZERO.

Linkin Park’s New Chapter

Speaking of the new chapter, Shinoda said, “Our original band name was Xero before Linkin Park.” The title of this CD alludes to both our modest beginnings and the current adventure. It embraces our unique sound while remaining fresh and vibrant, speaking sonically and emotionally to the past, present, and future. We made it with immense gratitude for our friends, family, fans, and both new and old bandmates. We are thrilled about the future and proud of what Linkin Park has grown into over the years.

The Emptiness Machine” immediately showcases the band’s explosive energy. It maintains the distinctive qualities that have made their sound instantly recognizable. It sounds like Linkin Park. Shinoda’s mesmerizing melodies deliver Armstrong’s fiery chorus over distortion-filled guitars and head-nodding drumming, creating a versatile and captivating song.

Shinoda went on, “We loved working with Emily and Colin because of their exceptional talent, their company, and the things we produced.” With this new lineup and the vivid, energetic music we’ve developed together, we feel incredibly powerful. We continue to explore new sonic touchpoints while fusing the ones we’ve been renowned for.

FROM ZERO is the band’s attempt to capture the purest energy possible from their past, present, and future. It’s official—the new era has begun.
