The Mall of Asia Arena was filled with love as Lauv returned to Manila for his “The Between Albums Tour” after three years, and it’s sweeter, too!

American singer-songwriter Ari Staprans Leff, a.k.a Lauv, returned to Manila for the LAUV: THE BETWEEN ALBUMS TOUR. This concert event was to celebrate his sobriety and his newfound love and passion for music at the Mall of Asia Arena on Monday, September 11.

From a night full of dancing and singing in his previous show at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu, Lauv had created yet another core memory unlocked for his Lauvers (Lauv’s fans) in Manila for his second show in the Philippines. The drizzly weather did not stop everyone from jamming and jumping up on their feet as he sang his songs.

Alexander 23 welcomed the crowd as he presented as the show’s front act, performing “IDK You Yet” and “Cry Over Boys” amongst his other singles. He ultimately wowed the audience as he shared his excitement about being part of the tour.

The show started with Lauv’s latest single, “Love U Like That,” which hyped everyone.

Following the adrenaline that filled the arena, he performed 25 of his songs, including hits “Paris in the Rain,” Superhero,” and “Mean It” in collaboration with LANY, “Fuck, I’m Lonely,” Tattoos Together, “Who” featuring BTS, and more.

Lauv also showed his vulnerability and opened up about his journey to quitting his drug addiction and mental health. The 29-year-old singer said he had been taking medications and had already been clean and sober for two months. He mentioned music and his fans’ support inspired him to better himself.

“I feel like I’ve come full circle making music from the same place that I first started making them,” Lauv says.

“I’m incredibly excited for what’s coming for my next album; I really worked so hard on it, this time it’s very catchy, very emotional,” he added.

It was an ocean of blue and white lights as the show grew intimate as Lauv serenaded the crowd with his songs “Breathe” and “Steal The Show” from the Pixar film “Elemental.”

After a two-hour-long show, the concert concluded with the crowd’s favorite “Like Me Better.” A strong bond has been the end game of his show as Lauv posted his appreciation to Pinoy Lauvers on Instagram and how his show came about.

Meanwhile, an afterparty was held at YES, PLEASE bar in Bonifacio Global City.
