Laufey expands her global rise with A Matter of Time: The Final Hour, alongside awards, touring milestones, and new creative projects.

Laufey releases A Matter of Time: The Final Hour, the deluxe edition of her GRAMMY®-winning album A Matter of Time, via AWAL and Vingolf Recordings. The project is available to stream now, along with a new music video.

The deluxe edition expands the original album with 15 tracks and adds four new songs. These include “How I Get,” “Madwoman,” “I Wait, I Wait, I Wait,” and “I’ll Forget About You (In Time).”

Moreover, Laufey shares the music video for “Madwoman.” She casts Hudson Williams from Heated Rivalry, Olympic champion Alysa Liu, Lola Tung from The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Megan Skiendiel of KATSEYE. The team filmed the video in Los Angeles ahead of Laufey’s Coachella debut. It presents a Slim Aarons-inspired world where beauty hides tension beneath the surface.

Laufey explains her intention behind the project. She says she wanted to create representation for people who rarely see themselves reflected in music and media. Additionally, she describes the video as a dream project that she once wished to see growing up.

The production highlights Asian and Asian American talent both on screen and behind the camera. Director Warren Fu leads the visual direction. Furthermore, DP Andrew Truong and several producers and creatives from Gold House and C100 contribute to the project.

Laufey Expands Landmark Year with Awards, Touring, and New Releases

Laufey continues a major year with A Matter of Time: The Final Hour. She will perform at Coachella this weekend and next. Moreover, she will begin an Asia tour in May with sold-out shows in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and other cities. These dates follow her earlier sold-out UK and European runs.

In addition, Laufey recently won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 68th GRAMMY® Awards for A Matter of Time. This marks her second win in the category. She first earned the honor for Bewitched in 2024, becoming the youngest artist to do so.

Her album A Matter of Time released in August to strong critical response. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 on the Jazz Albums chart. Moreover, it continues to hold a place in the top 10. In January, Icelandic President Halla Tómasdóttir awarded her the Order of the Falcon.

Additionally, Laufey will release her first children’s book, Mei Mei The Bunny, on April 21 via Penguin Random House. She will also release a live album, A Matter of Time: Live at Madison Square Garden, on April 18 for Record Store Day.
