The wait is finally over, Little Monsters! Lady Gaga’s 14-track album Mayhem will be released on March 7!
Lady Gaga teased her upcoming seventh album, Mayhem or the LG7, on billboards in New York City and Las Vegas, along with a teaser video, on January 27. The album, set for release on March 7 through Interscope Records, marks her first official album in five (5) years since 2020’s Chromatica. Gaga, alongside her fiancé Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt, took on the role of executive producers for the album.
In a statement, she says, “the album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” describing the songwriting process as “reassembling a shattered mirror,” and adding, “Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
The album will feature 14 tracks, with Gaga’s website and Spotify listing her previously released singles. Die with a Smile, featuring Bruno Mars, opens the album, while Disease closes it. The title track and third single, Mayhem, will drop on February 2, 2025, along with a music video set to premiere during the 2025 Grammy Awards. Gaga will reveal the full track list at a later time.

In a December interview with the Los Angeles Times, while promoting her previous single Die with a Smile, she shared that the record is full of her love for music—featuring a lot of different genres, styles, and dreams.
It leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt. And it ends with love. That’s the answer to all the chaos in my life is that I find peace with love. Every song that I wrote, I just kept getting kind of swept away in these different dreams I was having about the past — almost like a recollection of all these bad decisions that I made in my life. But it ends in this very happy place.
