House of Protection returns with their new EP, Outrun You All, and the single “Godspeed,” following their debut album, GALORE, out now via Red Bull Records.
In the heavy music scene, few bands shake the ground quite like House of Protection. Formed by Aric Improta (Fever 333, Night Verses) and Stephen Harrison (Fever 333, The Chariot), the duo made a powerful debut with their genre-defying EP, GALORE. Now, they’re back with a darker and bolder follow-up: Outrun You All, released May 28, 2025, via Red Bull Records, featuring the single “Godspeed.”
From the start, House of Protection was built to defy expectations. After earning acclaim in the post-hardcore scene, Aric Improta and Stephen Harrison came together not to follow trends but to rediscover the sounds that first inspired them. The result is music that’s raw, genre-blurring, and emotionally honest—born from instinct, not industry.
Outrun You All isn’t just a continuation—it’s an evolution from the genre-defying foundations laid in GALORE. A year later, the band explores darker, more intense soundscapes, fusing punk energy with underground electronics and trip-hop vibes. “It’s got to be everything we thought was cool when we were kids,” they say—an unfiltered passion that fuels every track.

Unveiling Sophomore EP: Outrun You All
The 7-track project opens with the surreal static of “524å§ł€€|°” before bursting into high gear. Tracks like “Afterlife” and lead single “Godspeed” deliver a relentless fusion of punk edge and hyper-pop polish. “It’s the one we’re most excited to play live,” the band shares. “It came together fast and really captures the relentlessness we’re chasing.”
As the EP unfolds, Improta and Harrison stretch their sound even further. “I Need More Than This” floats between beauty and chaos. “Fire” explodes with jagged guitars and sirens, while “Phasing Out” dives into breakbeat-heavy electronics. Finally, “Slide Away” brings it home with a nostalgic rock energy that ties it all together.
Beyond its dynamic soundscape, Outrun You All carries a profound emotional weight. The title, inspired by Harrison’s tattoo referencing Converge’s “Black Cloud”, isn’t just bold—it’s personal. It honors the peers and friends who couldn’t continue their creative journeys.
We’ve had countless conversations about how painful it is to watch talented people give up. That’s not who we are. We fuel each other’s drive every day. We truly believe the best is still ahead.
– Aric Improta
Their relentless drive is undeniable. Coming off a U.S. tour with Poppy, an Australian run with Bad Omens, and a guest feature on Architects’ track “Brain Dead”, House of Protection is gaining momentum. They’ve already earned nominations for Best International Breakthrough Artist and Best Breakthrough Live Artist. Onstage, their “inclusive chaos” transforms every performance into a cathartic, high-energy experience.

GALORE: The EP That Started It All
Before Outrun You All, there was GALORE—the EP that introduced House of Protection’s world. Released without rules or expectations, it was a raw, genre-blending rush of inspiration.
“GALORE was about reconnecting with what we loved as kids,” the duo says. With nods to UK trip-hop, post-punk, alt-rock, and skate culture, it landed like a lightning bolt. It resonated with both longtime fans and new listeners, gaining praise from NME, The Guardian, and Revolver. It even earned them a spot as a Spotify Artist to Watch.
Most importantly, it gave them the confidence to keep pushing boundaries. To trust in curiosity. To believe that unpredictability is what truly connects a band with its audience.
