Hayley Williams drops “Parachute” and we’re not landing anytime soon.

Paramore frontwoman and solo powerhouse Hayley Williams is back with something bold, playful, and deeply personal. Her latest single, “Parachute,” lands with a full music video directed by longtime collaborator Zachary Gray, giving fans one more reason to celebrate this new chapter.

The song comes as the only previously unreleased track on her just-dropped album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, a project that’s already got listeners buzzing with excitement, creativity, and a whole lot of fan-made tracklists.

A Surprise Collection Turned Full Album

Back in August, Williams surprised fans by dropping 17 unsequenced singles online, leaving listeners free to shuffle, arrange, and debate their dream tracklists.

The internet did what it does best. Fans even launched hayleysingles.com, where thousands of playlists were built and shared in real time. After weeks of playful chaos, Williams took those fan-inspired creations, added “Parachute” to the mix, and officially released the full 18-track album on August 28.

Produced by Daniel James, the record is a kaleidoscope of sounds that prove Williams is more fearless than ever. She wrote, played, and recorded across the project, while longtime collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard added their magic. Jim-E Stack also jumped in on “True Believer,” which recently earned Williams her first solo Billboard Alternative Sales #1.

And here’s the kicker. This isn’t just another solo album. It’s the first release under her brand-new independent venture, Post Atlantic, following Paramore’s liberation from a decades-long record contract. Distributed via Secretly Distribution, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party is the sound of freedom, experimentation, and pure Hayley.

Hayley in Full Bloom

The album runs the gamut of moods and genres. There’s the biting humor of “Ice In My OJ,” the loneliness echoed in “Glum,” and the tender nostalgia of “Whim.” On “Mirtazapine,” Williams pens a late-’90s-inspired ode that feels both tongue-in-cheek and deeply honest.

Longtime fans might even clock a throwback. Particularly, “Ice In My OJ” first surfaced in 2004 on an old Mammoth City Messengers track, now reborn with Hayley’s signature polish.

But at the heart of the album is “Parachute.” Revealed as the final piece of the puzzle, the track is a breathtaking reminder of Williams’ ability to strike right at the core. With her confessional lyricism and unmatched delivery, the song feels both vulnerable and triumphant, which is a proof that Hayley knows exactly how to balance raw honesty with soaring melody.

The visuals add another impact. Directed, filmed, and edited by Zachary Gray, the “Parachute” music video captures the mix of intimacy and grandeur that defines this era. It’s a continuation of the visual storytelling Williams has already established with “Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party” and “Glum,” both of which arrived with their own striking videos.

At 18 tracks, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party is a reminder that Hayley Williams isn’t done reinventing herself, or her sound. Whether it’s alt-rock edge, pop-punk bite, or dream-pop shimmer, this album is her playground. And with “Parachute,” she’s gifting fans a song that feels like both a landing and a lift-off.

Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party is available now on streaming platforms, with physical editions out November 7. Pre-orders are live, but the music, and the message, are already soaring.
