Attention! Adult Leisure has big news: a new single, “Dancing Don’t Feel Right,” a publishing deal, and a headline show this year!

Adult Leisure, an alt-indie quartet, is gearing up to launch their highly anticipated single “Dancing Don’t Feel Right” on February 28. But that’s not all—the band is also making waves by announcing a new publishing deal and their biggest headline show ever, promising an unforgettable year ahead.

“Dancing Don’t Feel Right,” recorded and mixed with Ollie Searle at Humm Studios and mastered by John Webber (David Bowie, Duran Duran, Coach Party), is a genre-blending track that fuses dancefloor energy with lively synths, a pulsing bassline, and catchy melodies. It encourages listeners to abandon their inhibitions and responsibilities, embracing the things they typically avoid. Neil Scott’s passionate vocals enhance this message, contributing to the song’s irresistible energy.

On the track’s lyrical inspirations, the band says,

We wanted to create a track that asks listeners to step outside of line, ditch their inhibitions, and give in to the temptation of doing exactly what they shouldn’t. It’s a narrative of inner conflict, desire, and rebellion. The track captures the feeling of being on the edge: stuck in a moment where you know you should hold back, but something—or someone—won’t let you. “Dancing Don’t Feel Right” is our way of ignoring responsibility, silencing the voice of reason, and giving in to the forbidden thrill of indulgence. The song is about the urge to let loose, to break out of the mould and do the bad thing.

The track follows the success of November’s acclaimed release Kiss Me Like You Miss Her,” which garnered support from BBC Radio 6’s Indie Forever, The Line of Best Fit, Fresh on the Net, and several Spotify editorial playlists. Additionally, their August single “Borderline” was featured as the opening track in an episode of E4’s Made In Chelsea, marking their first national TV sync placement.
