Thai Rapper MILLI Makes a Surprise Appearance With Knock2 on the Lollapalooza Stage

Thai rapper MILLI electrifies Lollapalooza with a surprise appearance, teaming up with Knock2 for a fiery “DANCE or DEAD” performance.

In 2022, Thai rapper MILLI of YUPP! Entertainment made waves as the first female solo artist from Thailand to take the Coachella stage, going viral for eating mango sticky rice during her set. Now in 2025, she’s making history once more as the first Thai artist to perform at Lollapalooza, one of the globe’s biggest music festivals.

MILLI surprised the crowd by joining rising Laotian-American DJ and producer Knock2 on stage to perform their fiery collaboration “DANCE or DEAD,” featured on MILLI’s album HEAVYWEIGHT and included in Knock2’s set.

Their electrifying performance brought nonstop energy to Knock2’s closing set at Perry’s Stage on the night of August 1, 2025.

Lollapalooza 2025 Headliners

This year, Lollapalooza brought together a powerhouse lineup of global headliners, including Korn, Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, A$AP Rocky, Sabrina Carpenter, and Martin Garrix.

Asian artists also made a strong showing, with TWICE and KATSEYE leading the charge—continuing the momentum from previous years, which featured top acts like NewJeans, Stray Kids, and YOASOBI.

Held at Grant Park in Chicago, USA, the four-day festival ran from July 31 to August 3 and attracted over 400,000 attendees. With its growing global reach, Lollapalooza has also expanded to international stages in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and Germany.

MILLI’s Star-Studded Collaborations

MILLI, the Thai rapper known for constantly reinventing her image and delivering fierce rap flows, has quickly risen as a standout artist under YUPP! Entertainment.

MILLI’s standout talent has earned her major collaborations, including the hit tracks “Just Being Friendly” with Thai band Tilly Birds and “Mirror Mirror” with F.HERO and Changbin of Stray Kids—both surpassing 100 million views on YouTube.

She also teamed up with global label 88rising for the official remix of BIBI’s “The Weekend,” which has garnered over 80 million views, and collaborated with Jackson Wang on the widely praised track “Mind Games.” Most recently, she appeared as a special guest at the Bangkok stop of Jay Park’s 2025 World Tour.

MILLI’s Achievements and Milestones

In addition to her impressive achievements, MILLI has been featured twice on the iconic Times Square billboards in New York City. Her first appearance was in Spotify’s 2021 EQUAL campaign, spotlighting women in the music and audio industry. More recently, she lit up the screens again with promotional visuals for her recent album HEAVYWEIGHT.

In 2022, her global influence was further recognized when the BBC named her one of the 100 most influential women in the world—solidifying her status as an international icon.

MILLI’s talent has earned her widespread recognition both in Thailand and internationally. She was honored with awards such as Best New Asian Artist Thailand at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), Top Ten Hottest Songs of 2020 from JOOX Music Thailand, Hip-Hop Song of the Year and New Face of the Year at the Rap is Now Awards 2020, and Rising Star at the Kazz Awards 2020.

Her debut album, BABB BUM BUM, released in late 2022, received critical acclaim and went on to win Best Album of the Year and Best Solo Artist of the Year at the TOTY Music Awards 2022.
