A’TIN feels the same way as SB19 Justin recently dropped his debut single, “surreal.”

How “surreal” become “so real”
Justin reveals that he wrote his debut song two years ago. He said:
“It’s all these scenarios that are unlikely to happen in the real world, but you find them as an escape from reality, so you continue to dream and dream… And surprisingly, you found someone who enjoys imagination as much as you do.”
The song has a relaxed, laid-back, and chill vibe to it. It describes that when things are happening when they are supposed to, cherish the time to reflect on their beauty. As Justin captioned in his Instagram post, “that will surely bring you to a quick escape from life’s reality.”

Music video, concept, and making of
For the concept and visual of the song and music video, Justin says:
“Actually po ever since na bata pa ako, growing up, parang may something special with nature, forests, and trees. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero may something na ‘yun ang gusto ko palagi kapag nagbabakasyon kami parang gusto ko sa gubat.”
The director of the music video is Justin himself. The people who helped him make it a reality are Xi-Anne Avanceña, Alan Ante, and Stephanie Joy Cea as directors of photography for the music video.
Filming for the music video’s setting is in different locations. The Northern Blossom Flower Farm in Atok, Benguet, is known for its garden of flowers with a view of the mountains and clouds. Zambales is another location, specifically for its forest scene. The winter scene took place in South Korea.
The reason for going to South Korea, Justin said:
“Pinuntahan namin talaga para lang sa snow kasi ‘yung kanta mayroong winter.”
