Hanies, the new semester has started! P-Pop boy group AJAA welcomes a new era with a nostalgic, youthful, and freaky second EP, 4:ÜS.

Ending the month of July with the release of their much-anticipated comeback, AJAA kicks off a new era of another colorful discography through their latest extended play, 4:ÜS.

From ride-or-die adventures and fun-filled moments with friends to innocent childhood crushes, AJAA captures the vibrant energy of youth through a fresh mix of bubblegum pop and novelty tracks. Their music stirs feelings of nostalgia, joy, excitement, dreams, and hope, bringing cherished childhood memories to life with every listen.

After their debut EP, *4:U*, dropped in 2023, this new release showcases the group’s growing artistry and evolution beyond just performing. Taking part once again in songwriting and production, AJAA proves their versatility while holding on to their charm and youthful spirit, further cementing their place in the P-pop scene.

The four-member boy group from Cornerstone Entertainment—Ash, JC, Axl, and Alex—keeps building momentum with catchy, upbeat tracks and vibrant lyrics. This second EP not only radiates their bright aura but also reflects their growth as artists, solidifying their spot as one of P-pop’s rising acts. Through it all, AJAA continues to share their unique style, making their music feel relatable and fresh to listeners.

4:ÜS Track Listing

“Ako Na”

Leading the track list is their previously released single, “Ako Na,” AJAA’s first song released under ABS CBN’s record label, StarPop, which was unveiled in September 2025. This track has bouncy melodies with hopeful lyrics that convey the yearning and desire to be chosen by someone you’ve been longing for.

From the repetitive chorus lines which make it instantly catchy and mirrors the way people often hold the same wish, expressing optimism despite uncertainty.

Ako na ang piliin, ako na ang ibigin (4x)
Sabi ko naman sa’yo, ako na lang sana
Edi sana, ‘di lumuluha

Produced by Theo Marthel and fellow P-pop artist, Franz of VXON, who was also involved in the songwriting alongside JC.

“KAKABAKABA”

“KAKABAKABA” is an absolute banger from this release. This AJAA track gives the feeling of excitement of getting ready, from carefully choosing an outfit, freshly polished shoes, and getting a new haircut to make a good impression on someone. It captures the nervous anticipation and builds up self-confidence, turning an ordinary moment into one moment filled with butterflies.

The song paints a relatable story of innocent affection, portraying the universal experience of having a crush and the anticipation of getting noticed by someone you admire.

“Game Over”

Looking for an ear candy of a song? “Game Over” is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. The song showcases more of AJAA’s impressive vocals and well-balanced harmonies which prove their unmatched chemistry and cohesive sound. “BES I LUV U” reminds me of this track as they share the same bubblegum pop energy, but they explore different stages of love.

If “BES I LUV U” tells the excitement of expressing admiration, “Game Over” yearns for another chance, hoping for a love that deserves a second try.

Sige na, please, sana mapagbigyan
I need a chance
Sana ‘wag mo ‘kong iwan
Wag mong subukan, pwede ba one last try?
Hindi ko kayang mahiwalay, is it over now?

Ash and Axl are among the lyricists of this track alongside Franz (VXON) and Jhon Carl Maniacop.

“Lala Na”

Summer is not yet over for AJAA! “Lala Na” offers a breezy feeling of ocean bliss and fine sand, it’s giving Elyu vibes. The tracks portrayed an overwhelming feeling of being in love. It captures the mixed-emotions of excitement, worrying, and chaos of falling head over heels to someone; realizing that what you’re feeling has become so intense that you can’t ignore it anymore.

Hindi kita maalis sa isipan ko
Sinusubkan ko namang ‘di mabaliw sa’yo
Pero bakit ba ganito?
Tila ba ‘lang kawala sa’yo

Just like that last line from the chorus, you can’t really escape AJAA’s irresistible charm and bop discography.

“Kapit”

“Kapit” will surely make you cry from nostalgia. The highlights of this is its sincere and heartfelt lyrics which gives comfort of having someone to lean on. Rather than focusing on grand romantic gestures, this track emphasizes the essence of staying, providing support, and finding strength into a relationship through difficult moments.

Through this song, AJAA radiates warmth through encouraging words and uplifting melodies.

‘Di ka nag-iisa
Sa mundong mapanghusga
Ako’y nandito lang
At kumapit ka

The lyrics were written by Jhon Carl Maniacop, Franz (VXON), and youngest member, Alex, with production again by Franz.

Just an additional sentiment, JC’s high notes alone could save me.

“Freaky”

With “Freaky,” AJAA steps out of their comfort zone and that makes Hanies really crazy. This track represents a totally different sound from their previous releases, ushering into a noticeable shift from the usual bubblegum pop image they portray. It sounds more mature, sexy, and flirty which is very different from the vibrant and bright tracks in the album. It has more electronic and funky influence because the song sounds stronger that showcases their exploring sides.

The song was written by Alex and Ash together with Jhon Carl Maniacop, and Franz (VXON).

What’s next for AJAA?

The drop of their second EP marks a new domination for AJAA. While staying true to their signature image, the P-Pop act levels up their usual sound and confidently explores new genres to broaden their artistic and creative range. This evolution reflects their growth and may become a significant step toward their greatest creative pursuit.

Following this album release, AJAA is set to hold their highly anticipated, sold-out first-ever solo concert, Game Start: The First Concert, on Sunday, August 9 at the SM North EDSA Skydome.
