On May 29, Yves released her first solo album, LOOP. Moreover, it’s been 6 years since her debut in 2017. Even though Yves didn’t produce any songs on her debut solo EP, doesn’t take away from the album’s focus on her. She wrote and produced LOONA’s song “Playback.” She also wrote and produced two songs, “Strawberry Soda” and “Truman Show”, for LOOSEMBLE.

The album has four tracks: “DIORAMA,” “LOOP,” “Afterglow,” and “Goldfish.”

The song “LOOP” has an alternative beat and expresses the urge to break free from a repetitive pattern like a wheel. Yves’ own color was melted by MILLIC, the agency PAIX PERMIL’s leader, who took part in the song’s development.

Additionally, rapper Lil Cherry strengthens the feature to produce a musical synergy with Yve thanks to her beautiful and distinct flow. With this song, Eve subverts the hugely addictive house genre and offers a unique charm that has never been seen before.

1. DIORAMA
2. LOOP (feat. Lil Cherry)
3. Afterglow
4. Goldfish

“DIORAMA,” which expresses the experience of meeting one’s ideal self. “Afterglow” discusses delicate emotions, beginning with the question “What if you have a lover but meet your ex-lover?” The album LOOP features the first two songs out of a total of four songs spanning different genres. “Goldfish,” a heartfelt song that reflects Yves & fans as goldfish that is constantly observing people in a fishbowl.

On the afternoon of May 29, at the press showcase held at the Ilchi Art Hall in Gangnam District, Seoul. Meanwhile, Yves mentioned that she had been working on her own songs during her break. She wondered what it would be like to have a song about her charms produced by a third party. “But I’m just starting my journey. I’m sure there will be many chances where I can showcase songs that I wrote. Hopefully, I’ll be able to produce even better songs later,” she said.

That was one of the reasons she selected Paix Per Mil, a relatively small agency that producer Millic founded. She felt that the producers there, notably Millic, could “produce songs with the charms of Yves.” And “choose the songs that best suited” her.

Yves stated, “I was curious to see how CEO Millic’s alternative music could work with the music of an idol singer. I think the music he produced had a great impact on me.”
