A solo debut has arrived and it’s a feat of cosmic proportions!
Last January 23 marked the release of SeolA’s debut album, Inside Out. The title track “Without U” was also made available on the same day.
SeolA is part of WJSN, also known as the Cosmic Girls, a ten-member group under Starship Entertainment. Aside from main group activities, she is also a part of a sub-unit, WJSN The Black. As well as the special project unit WJMK alongside co-member Luda and two members of Weki Meki, former Produce 101 contestants Yoojung and Doyeon.
While SeolA has released numerous OSTs and singles in the past, “Without U” will be the first release of hers to coincide with an accompanying album. Inside Out will have two versions available for purchase, appropriately named “In” and “Out.”

“Without U” is a far departure from the space-themed concepts the Cosmic Girls are known for. There are no hazy, star-filled skies or elaborate set pieces. Instead, it’s a minimalist affair that embraces self-worth amidst a crumbling romantic relationship. In the music video, we see SeolA pulling her own reflection up as they embark on a joyride of self-discovery together.
WJSN is a very loaded group, at one point having thirteen members on their roster. SeolA makes history as the first among them to have a solo comeback. Hopefully, this unique distinction won’t last for long. SeolA’s solo effort could end up paving the way for the other members to have their own releases, too!
