OMEGA X returns with their 4th mini album UNCAPPED, showcasing freedom, growth, and fan-inspired creativity after a two-year hiatus.
OMEGA X makes their highly anticipated return with their 4th mini album, UNCAPPED, featuring members JAEHAN, YECHAN, XEN, KEVIN, SEBIN, JEHYUN, and HWICHAN in collaboration with Kooky.
The album holds special meaning for both OMEGA X and their fans, FOR X, as fans actively participated in its creative direction. They helped choose the title track and select the unit combinations for “Close to me” and “Cork.” Furthermore, JAEHAN, YECHAN, and XEN contributed to the album’s songwriting and composition, with JAEHAN and YECHAN participating across all five tracks.
Through UNCAPPED, OMEGA X showcases their fearless energy and expresses a message of freedom, growth, and self-discovery. The album marks the group’s return after a two-year hiatus and reflects the experiences they gained during that time.
The album opens with “Day Zero,” a UK garage-inspired track that celebrates new beginnings. The title track, “Uncapped,” delivers a powerful message about breaking free and embracing one’s true self. Meanwhile, “Close to me,” performed by JAEHAN, XEN, and YECHAN, highlights acceptance and the beauty of differences. “Cork,” featuring HWICHAN, SEBIN, KEVIN, and JEHYUN, uses the image of opening a matured bottle of wine to represent the group’s growth and readiness to share their journey. The album concludes with “Life Detox,” an alternative pop track that encourages listeners to let go of pressure and embrace freedom.
JAEHAN shared that the group poured their sincerity into the album after waiting years to reconnect with fans. He hopes listeners find comfort and strength through their music.
In addition, YECHAN expressed that UNCAPPED reflects OMEGA X’s growth, experiences, and evolution as artists.
Following the album release, OMEGA X recently met fans through their first Japan live fan event, “OMEGA X JAPAN FAN LIVE EVENT Episode 1 ‘STAY, OMEGA X,’” held in Tokyo and Osaka. More activities and announcements from the group are expected soon.
