Introducing the new generation of K-Pop IT boys with JYP Entertainment’s new boy group NEXZ.
Six years in the making after STRAY KIDS, JYP Entertainment finally opens its stage to debut NEXZ. The group has already made its mark in the K-wave, as their debut single “Ride The Vibe” music video has already hit the 5 million viewership mark.
Moreover, only two days after the release of the “Ride The Vibe” MV, NEXZ is seeing so much potential in garnering interest from international fans.

MEET THE NEXZ TEAM
NEXZ, is short for Next Z(G)eneration, is inspired by the survival show– Nizi Project Season 2. The name signifies the group’s intent to guide the upcoming generation with fresh music, performances, and more, ushering in a new era.
Following their name, fans of NEXZ are called NEX2Y (NEXT TO YOU) which serves as a reminder of their fans walking alongside their idol journey.
Uemura Tomoya– Stage name Tomoya is the leader of NEXZ. He was born on January 19, 2006, and is a Japanese member. Tomoya is a trainee for JYP for 2 years and 7 months.
Tomiyasu Yu– Most popularly known as Yu. The visual of the group and is also a Japanese member, Yu is also the hyung (eldest) of the group. Yu was born on April 27, 2005.
Inoue Haru– Haru is NEXZ’s main dancer. He is also a member of the group’s J-line (Japanese line). He was a trainee for JYP only for 6 months, which also included online training due to the pandemic. Haru was born on January 23, 2006.
So Gun– With his stage name formerly “Ken,” he is now called So Geon—was born on September 13, 2006. He is a Korean member, but he did his audition in Tokyo, Japan. His position in the group is not specified, but he is ultimately considered an all-rounder.
Kawashima Seita– Seita was born on November 28, 2006, and is the rapper of the group. His nickname is “Sei-chan,” and he is also a Japanese member. He auditioned for JYP Ent. in Seoul, South Korea.
Komori Yuhi– Formerly called Yuhi but now graces the stage name Hyui. Born on May 11, 2007. Hyui is also a part of the group’s rap line. A Japanese member whose name means “bright sun,” a name he lives up to.
Nishiyama Yuki– Yuki is the group’s maknae (youngest). He was born on September 20, 2007. He is called “miniuyu” and is also an all-rounder, as his position is not stated. Yuki is a J-line member from Hyōgo,Japan.
